Sculptoral works

Cemeteries are often perceived as places of sorrow, but they can also be a source of tranquility and beauty. The grounds of the New Cemetery contain over 1,500 sculptural works created by more than 130 sculptors from different generations, forming a unique open-air gallery. Forms and expressions have evolved and complemented each other over time, but the fundamental idea of preserving the memory of an individual’s life and work remains the unifying element of all these works.
